City Flats on Walnut
City Flats on Walnut was an infill site for the Cottage Grove neighborhood in Bloomington, Indiana. An existing bungalow was repurposed as the Clubhouse and leasing office.
Two three-story courtyard oriented buildings were designed to front Walnut street.
The corners of the buildings stepped down in scale to a two story massing with dormers to match adjacent two story homes. A two story alley positioned townhomes building stepped the building scale down at the back of the lot.
Courtyard and street front oriented units hide large at grade parking garages entered off the alley.
Tudor and craftsman architectural details help tie the buildings to the style of homes found in the Cottage Grove Neighborhood.
