This project was designed to be a gateway into the Old Northside neighborhood of Indianapolis and provide high-end for sale townhomes within an established neighborhood.
.

The units were positioned to provide street edge enclosure and were pulled back at the corners to open up views and create pocket parks at the gateway corners.

Main floors were elevated to the street to provide privacy in living rooms from pedestrians on the front sidewalks along the street.

Private garages were tucked under elevated main floors facing rear alleys to be hidden from the street. Decks at the rear provide additional private outdoor living space for the units.

Bay windows allow interior rooms to look up and down the streets and add depth to the street facing facades.

Elevated front porches and sunken courtyards provide outdoor gathering space overlooking the street while private rooftop gardens provide alternative outdoor experiences for the units.

At block corners, units pull back to open up views and create pocket parks at the gateway. A rich material palette of brick, limestone, metal iron work and siding along with heavy scaled painted trim elements tie the buildings to the historic architecture of the Old Northside neighborhood.
